Our goal is to breed pleasant and healthy family dogs that, in addition to having a beautiful appearance, also enjoy working with their handler. Dogs that enjoy various activities and be social, stable household pets.
To be able to enjoy activities, good health is essential, and we do everything possible to give the puppies an optimal start. This begins with health screenings of the parents (HD, ED, PRA1 & 2, ICT-A, ECVO), ensuring the overall health (both physical and mental) of the mother dog, and providing a comfortable, safe, and stimulating environment. Because our dogs are considered family off course they live with us in our home.
We provide the puppies with high-quality nutrition. After exclusively receiving mother’s milk for the first 4 to 5 weeks (unless there is a reason to supplement earlier), they receive good nutrition (Darf, high-quality organic raw meat). We also introduce the puppies to various other foods, such as raw chicken necks, rabbit carcasses, meaty lamb bones, raw fish, vegetables and fruits, tripe, muscle meat from various animals like pheasant and wild duck, organs, etc.
The puppies stay in the living room of our lively household, where they are exposed to all the sounds, sights, and smells of a home environment. We provide a stimulating environment appropriate for their age. As they grow older, they will be gradually introduced to the outside world, such as going to the forest, the town center, the pet store, the lake, and having contact with various adults, children, and animals. They will get used to wearing a harness, and we will start training them to walk on a leash and respond to a recall whistle. This intensive guidance during the first 9 to 10 weeks of the puppies’ lives requires a lot of time, there is always someone at home to guide the puppies and adult dogs.
The puppies are dewormed (and at 8 weeks we conduct a fecal test for worms and giardia). At 6 and 9 weeks, they are titer tested by the veterinarian.
At 7 weeks, a behavior test is conducted, and at 8 weeks, the puppy is matched with its new owner. The matching is based on the breeder’s opinion, the behavior test, and the new owner’s top two preferences.
Around 9 to 10 weeks, the puppies can move to their new homes.
Of course, the puppies are microchipped and registered, and they receive a passport and, once it is available, a pedigree.
